This is the new GBA SP Screen and Laminated Lens from FunnyPlaying. Here is the install guide.

No soldering required - everything operated via the integrated touch sensor.

This 3.0 inch IPS M2 screen can be used in the original shell or the new shells we stock here.

Perfect for upgrade for your GBA SP with this IPS screen to further enhance your viewing pleasure of this popular Nintendo handheld.

The kit comes with a laminated glass lens already attached. With a laminated display the air gap between the display and front glass is removed. This greatly increases the viewing experience and removes the worry about dust and dirt getting under the lens.

This kit is suitable for the AGS-101 and the AGS-001 consoles.

Notes;

1. Fifteen levels of brightness (BRT) are available via the integrated touch sensor. If you require the brightness to function via the button soldering is required. 

2. 5 levels of color effect (CLR) Modes: Normal, High contract, Retro Color, Grayscale color and GB green.

3. No shell modification is required to fit the screen into an original or modified shell.

4. Please test your screen kit for faults before installation, photo or video will be required for potential warranty claims. Any issues are to be reported before installing inside a shell or adhering to a gasket. Once stuck down it will not remove without damaging the screen or the ribbon. 

5. It is advisable to wear a static bracelet before installing the screen to avoid any potential shorts.

What an upgrade!

Purchased this for my old AGS 001 GBASP.

Package arrived in a timely manner and the screen was extremely easy to install.

I was blown away with the difference this made, my GBASP now looks and feels like a modern handheld.

Great price, easy to install, would highly recommend to anyone.

Fantastic bright and clear screen

Screen looks absolutely beautiful, very bright and clear. Really appreciate that the lens comes already attached, saves worry about dust particles getting between the display and glass as with your standard screens.

Don't be put off by needing to shave the case and solder the brightness toggle, it's easier than you'd think. I'm a terrible solderer and it's turned out great.

Dive into nostalgia with a renewed set of glasses.

I bought this a little while ago, I've been waiting for the right time to provide a review. Before I wrote this, I wanted to finish at least one game. I did it was Advanced Wars, it took me more than a few days to finish. The screen worked with zero errors and presented me with an amazing experience.

It looks incredible, truly.

I've compared it with another AGS-001 screen and the upgrade in picture is like the jump from VHS to DVD. I also compared this to a friend's backlit AGS-101 and even he was jealous of the quality.

This upgrade is simple and easy, even for those who might not feel comptetent with assembly. I chose not to do the brightness modification because I'm useless at soldering, however, I found the set brightness level comfortable.
